Scrappy Blog Tour

Welcome to my little part of the scrappy blog tour that's been happening around blogland. I was kindly nominated by the lovely Kat. Kat is part of my great design team at The Studio, I love her clean and colourful style, do go and check her out.

1.  What am I working on right now?

My nephews scrapbooks. I am creating scrapbooks for them as I did for my first nephew when he was born. But having two nephews just over a year ago with only 3.5 weeks between them, its hard to keep up, they are learning new things everyday! I'm doing one in 8.5 x 11" so it is a bit different from the other, here are a couple of pages from it:

2.  How long does it take me to create a project?

Longer than I would like, I'm a bit of a perfectionist! Though I do like being freer with paints. It must be over an hour. I love the creative process and trying different things out.

3.  What are my favorite things to create with at the moment?

Its got to be white card stock, I do try to use other colours but I love using colour and they always seem to look better on white! The other things has to be paint must of my layouts usually have some paint on them, then there is Twine, and buttons too!

4.  How does my writing/creative process work?
I also take the photo first and see where it will take me!
I think it important to have some journalling on my layouts, for generations to come to read what's going on or where or who we are! I do always get near the end of my layout and then think 'where am I going to put my journalling'?! So I do find it hard sometimes to fit it in but I do!

5.  How do I become inspired and stay inspired?
There's always inspiring things around! The main way for me must be Pinterest and other scrappers blogs but also pictures, adverts and the photo itself may trigger an idea, feel or style to try out.

  6.  What is my signature style?
That's a hard one as I don't think I really have one, I just go with it! My layouts have to have lots of colour in them and I like patterns and paint and clustering embellishments to add detail but also like some white space so I would say colourful with an arty twist! These layouts are some of my favourites so you get an idea but there not always like this!

I would like to nominate

Anastasia, shes other one of my lovely design teamI love her style and I always find her layouts inspiring and I quite often think 'I wish I created that'!

Daphne she is a previous designer from The Studio and I love her bold, colourful style with great detail.

Leanne, I always find Leanne's layouts inspiring, she great at layering and clustering.
I look forward to seeing your answers to these questions next Monday!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed reading my answers! xx
